As your District 5 trustee over the last 18 months, I have worked to turn priorities into progress — with results that reflect our community’s needs:
Through district-wide ELD strategies and data-driven instruction, Fullerton’s English Learners are outperforming statewide averages in key academic measures and reclassification rates have improved — evidence that targeted support yields real gains.

I have continued attending school-based events like ELAC and PTA meetings, as well as “Coffee with the Principal” and working with parent groups. This ensures families have direct access to decision-makers and a voice in district planning.

I proudly joined the Board in affirming commitments to inclusive school environments and supporting families of diverse backgrounds, working to make Fullerton schools welcoming for all.
Over the past 18 months, we have strengthened mental health and wellness supports across the district.
Fullerton School District continues to provide school-based counseling services at every campus, including mental health specialists who offer individual and group counseling, crisis response, and social-emotional learning support.
All students now have access to free, confidential online therapy through Hazel Health, ensuring families can receive licensed mental health support from school or home.
We have also expanded access to community-based resources and wrap-around services, helping remove barriers to learning and supporting the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally.

We have advanced discussions and planning around dual language program expansion, ensuring that culturally relevant and multilingual instruction remains a priority.
